WeQure Cookie Policy

Last updated: 28 September 2026

1 About this policy

Bright Point Technology, a Turkey-based company, owns and operates WeQure and is the controller for the cookie-related personal data described here. Privacy contact: info@wequre.com. Support: info@wequre.com.

This policy explains device storage and similar technologies used with WeQure’s professional profiles, communities, job listings, notifications and AI features. Read it together with the Privacy Policy. It is a notice, not consent to optional tracking.

2 What cookies and similar technologies do

Cookies are small values stored by a browser. Session cookies generally expire when a session ends; persistent cookies have a specified lifetime. First-party cookies are associated with the site you visit, while third-party technologies involve another provider.

Local storage, session storage, pixels and similar identifiers can also store or transmit information. Their label does not exempt the resulting personal-data processing from privacy rules. Data may include identifiers, login state, preferences, IP address, browser details and service interactions.

3 Necessary and optional uses

Strictly necessary technologies support a requested function, such as sign-in, session security or saving a cookie choice. They require an applicable non-consent ground under Article 5(2), such as contract necessity or a proportionate legitimate interest, and disclosure. “Necessary” does not mean merely useful to WeQure.

Optional preference technologies remember conveniences beyond a requested function. Optional analytics measure usage, navigation or performance. Advertising or cross-site tracking, if introduced, requires a separate assessment and notice; this policy does not imply that advertising cookies are deployed.

Optional tracking requires an appropriate legal ground. Where we rely on consent, that consent must be obtained before the technology operates, for the specific purpose described. Accepting the Terms does not constitute optional tracking consent.

4 Your choices

Where optional technologies are offered, you must be able to accept them, reject them or select purposes separately. Refusing optional tracking must not prevent access to unrelated core features.

Browsing, scrolling or closing a notice does not constitute consent. Optional technologies that require consent must remain inactive until you agree. A proportionate record of your choice may be retained to honour and demonstrate that preference.

You may withdraw consent to optional cookies through the cookie controls presented on the website. Withdrawal applies to future consent-based use. Browser settings also let you remove or block stored cookies, but may affect sign-in or other requested functions. Browser controls do not replace any consent controls WeQure is required to provide.

5 Technology inventory

The following inventory describes storage observed in the WeQure web application. It does not include storage on external application websites. Entries marked “until cleared” remain in your browser until removed or replaced; the service may also apply separate server-side retention rules described in the Privacy Policy.

  • Sign-in session (browser local storage). Provider: WeQure’s authentication service. The browser stores an authentication session under a site-specific key to keep you signed in and refresh access. It persists until sign-out, expiry or browser-data removal. Necessary for requested account access; account and security processing are described in the Privacy Policy. Where the preview is embedded, the preview may broker this session through its host rather than ordinary local storage.
  • `wequre.remember-off` (local storage). Provider: WeQure. Records that you unchecked “Remember me” so a new browser session ends the sign-in. Persists until changed or browser data is removed. Necessary to honour your sign-in choice.
  • `wequre.tab-active` (session storage). Provider: WeQure. Indicates an open browser tab and helps distinguish reloads from a fresh session when “Remember me” is off. Lasts for that tab’s browser session. Necessary to honour your sign-in choice.
  • `wequre.language` (local storage). Provider: WeQure. Remembers your chosen English or Arabic language. Persists until changed or browser data is removed. Requested preference, not advertising tracking.
  • `sidebar_state` (first-party cookie). Provider: WeQure. Remembers whether the signed-in sidebar is open. Set for up to seven days after a change. Requested interface preference.
  • `wequre.sid` (session storage). Provider: WeQure. A random per-tab identifier used to deduplicate first-party product events for signed-in members. Lasts for the tab session. Event records are sent to WeQure’s own database; no third-party analytics product is used. This is service measurement, not cross-site advertising. The lawful basis for this measurement needs confirmation against local requirements before deployment.
  • Checklist dismissal keys beginning `wequre.setup-checklist.dismissed` (session storage). Provider: WeQure. Remember a signed-in member’s choice to hide the welcome checklist until sign-out or the browser session ends. Requested interface preference.

WeQure also uses its authentication provider and hosting infrastructure to serve and protect the site. Their server-set cookies and precise storage lifetimes, domains, recipients and international transfer safeguards have not been independently verified in this audit. Contact info@wequre.com for current provider details; this inventory must be reviewed against live production traffic before it is treated as exhaustive.

6 External services and transfers

An external job-application site has its own cookie practices once you navigate there. Third-party content embedded within WeQure can make requests before a click; any optional embed that tracks users must be controlled before loading.

Cookie-related transfers outside Turkey need a valid KVKK Article 9 route as well as a lawful processing ground. A cookie consent button is not a substitute for the transfer assessment. Actual recipients, countries and safeguards must be listed in the inventory and the Privacy Policy.

7 Rights and changes

The Privacy Policy explains KVKK rights, request methods, response periods and complaints. Write to info@wequre.com about cookie data or consent problems. We will update this policy when technologies or purposes change and obtain a new choice where required before optional processing begins.
